Peace starts at home
Our Why
Most homes are designed for how they look. This work is about how they feel.
After ten years as an interior designer — and a lifetime of understanding what it means to live in a sensitive nervous system — I developed a practice around something most designers overlook: your home is either regulating or dysregulating you. Often without you knowing it.
Resonant Spaces exists to change that.
Why this work:
Because the families I work with have done everything right. The therapy. The accommodations. The routines. And they go home to an environment that quietly undoes all of it. Nobody has looked at the home itself.
That's the gap this practice was built to fill.
The mission:
To give people language for what their home has been doing to their nervous system — and the tools to change it.
The vision:
A world where home is the first place a nervous system learns it is safe. Where design is not a luxury but a form of care. Where every person — regardless of how they are wired — can walk through their front door and exhale.
Peace starts at home.
I've been an interior designer for over ten years, and I believe peace starts at home. The thing I hear most consistently from clients isn't about the work — it's that they felt listened to.
That's not a coincidence. My own experience with nervous system sensitivities means I notice what others miss — the light that won't let a room settle, the sound that keeps everyone on edge, the layout that makes a simple evening feel impossible. I've lived in those spaces, I’ve designed for those spaces, and I know what they cost your nervous system.
Resonant Spaces Design exists because a home that truly fits the people inside it isn't a luxury. It's something everyone deserves.
I look forward to meeting you,
Amelia
